Touched in Mondo

Oriental Poppies by Georgia O’Keeffe

Has love passed us by

to wallow in spoiled regret,

to drown ourselves in spilled paint?

Or does love await

Resplendent like budding spring

Bursting forth not for the faint

Will you always give

lyrical passion so free

soulful light to those in need?

Friend, you know me well

Spirits touch, speaking in verse

Luminous love shared indeed

*Written in collaboration with my dear friend, Despicable Artistry (not on WordPress), using the Mondo poetry form; however we focused on our human nature, not Mother Nature.
